MEMORY IN BOTH BANKS MUST BE OF LIKE CAPACITY FOR PROPER MEMORY INTERLEAVING.
When installing the 8GB kit on a Sun Fire 280R, you must boot with a minimum diagnostic POST. If you boot with a maximum, you will get an error message "Power on Selftest Failed". If you get this message type "boot disk" , and the system will continue to boot normally. To prevent this error message in the future, turn the diagnostic POST to minimum.
Sun Blade 1000 or 2000 systems must boot with a minimum diagnostic POST. If you boot with full diagnostics POST the machine will fail to boot. Turn the diagnostic POST to minimum, and the system will boot and run normally.
The system board supports up to two UltraSPARC III processors. |
